Students are guided through the full Ashtanga Primary Series by the teacher in a led class setting. Known as Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy), the Primary Series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system of yoga is a vigorous and dynamic practice that focuses on the synchronisation of breath and movement. It is designed to create a purifying heat within the body that burns away all impurities in preparation for higher practices of yoga. Participants move through a series of asanas, jumping from one posture to another building heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and mental focus. The Led Ashtanga Full Primary Series class covers all the elements of Primary Series, including vinyasa,Sun Salutations, standing postures, seated postures, and finishing postures. Under the supervision of the Sr. Teacher Yogi Kamal Singh, adjustments are offered to accelerate the mastery of the practice. Students new to Ashtanga yoga are encouraged to take the 7 day Ashtanga Beginner Intensive Course.
